"Dictionary of the Possible" is the 22nd issue of Shifter Magazine, edited by Sreshta Rit Premnath and
Avi Alpert. This publication compiles a series of public discussions held over a year, each centered on
unraveling a keyword that carries both urgency and agency in contemporary discourse. Instead of offering
static definitions, the dictionary catalogs these keywords alongside questions provoked during each
discussion, aiming to incite ongoing dialogue and exploration.
Contributors include artists, writers, activists, and philosophers, reflecting a diverse and
interdisciplinary approach to understanding and expanding the possible.
This issue directly influenced the 'Shabdkosh' project I did for reimagining three ways of designing a dictionary for Hindustani Linguistics extracted by the British during colonization.
